The Baltimore Chapter of Architecture for Humanity is dedicated to developing and implementing design solutions to humanitarian problems. We focus on providing services to those who would otherwise not have access to or be able to afford design consultation. Our chapter strives to identify charitable needs within our community and create innovative, appropriate solutions for our neighbors.

Art and Addiction

Jack Henningfield, Ph.D., and Pat Santora, Ph.D., leaders in the field of addiction science, will present a lecture on their innovative research that promotes the use of art to compliment addiction science in understanding and treating substance use disorders. Sponsored by MICA’s Community Arts Partnership and The Turek House, a mainstay of the Baltimore substance abuse treatment community.

Building Bridges, Not Fences

An exhibit of photojournalistic photos that explores global relationships and cultures. Using both traditional darkroom techniques and modern, digital techniques, Strathmore presents work by Bruce Barnbaum, Dean Kessmann, Bruce McKaig, Shay Aloni, Ammar Younis, Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons, Enrique de la Uz, Pedro Abascal, and Nestor Hernandez.
